I have came across some people asking me my opinion about the whole new product that Google is involved in developing now as you might know its none other than Google Wave. Right now its not available to public and its still in development but I have seen the introductory video of it in youtube and I think the whole concept which Google wave works on is really nice, it works something like a bulletin board system but on a large scale, its something like bulletin board system, messenger system and mailing system all merged in to a single product which makes it unique.

Basically features it will offer for its users is not unique but just that all these features of messenger, bulletin board system and mailing system merged together in to a single product makes it special. So will it pose a competition to Twitter? I really don’t think so, twitter is entirely a different product and twitter unlike other social media sites or messenger sites or what ever its something unique and the whole idea of twitter is something which is not seen in other sites which makes it special, its something similar to a chat room but you cannot really compare it to a chat room and I am among many millions in the world who is amazed by the growth twitter achieved in a short period of time.

Will Google wave pose a competition to twitter? I don’t think so both are totally different products fulfilling different needs of people so I don’t think Google Wave is going to wave away Twitter.
